Since there have been repeated questions about GDPR and its applicability to YieldNodes, we would like to clarify the situation:

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation enacted by the European Union (EU) to protect the privacy and personal data of individuals within the EU. It provides citizens with greater control over their personal information and sets strict rules for data handling by companies and organizations.

Exceptional Media Limited, which is the provider of YieldNodes, is an active company registered in Hong Kong. YieldNodes’ data is hosted and processed in Hong Kong, and the backups are located on servers outside the European Union. Therefore, only users who have their primary residence in the European Union currently have a claim under GDPR.

As we still have to handle GDPR requests manually at present, we are only providing data in accordance with GDPR to users with proven residence in the EU. However, we are working on a solution to automatically make data available under GDPR for users outside the EU as well.

But regardless of this, we can already inform you that we only store necessary personal information, the current account balance, and deposit/withdrawal data. Due to current malware, such as YNL, attempting to gain unauthorized access to users’ personal information, we have deleted all other data for security reasons.

Furthermore, with the transfer of all rights to a Non-Fungible Token (NFT), the user themselves have control over their data. This represents an innovative approach to data ownership, aligning with our commitment to user empowerment and privacy.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to uphold the integrity and security of our systems, always striving to comply with applicable laws and regulations. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
